This clip is part of an experiment. Be warned that it may not entertain or please you. If you have subwoofers, crank them up.
The singer is Sudha Kadalayil. She and her husband Rajan are more family than friends to us. When I came to US, Rajan was my guide and mentor. Rajan has played a very instrumental role in the development of this album. As a matter of fact, After Divya, he is the one that I play my songs to. The good thing about Rajan is that, if something sucks, he will tell you. There is no soap. And in ventures like this, that is so so helpful. Rajan, Sudha and their little girl Navya has been a huge blessing in our life. We really cant think of a world without them.
Sudha is a very sweet person and well trained in Carnatic music. She has not trained after she came to US. I did try to persuade her to go for classes. This song was sung a long time ago at my home. Again, done just for fun.
Having said that, here is a mix that I had some fun concocting.
Shreegananatha - Ragam : malahari, Bhavam: Space station.
Some people might call it "Oru Kalaakarante thonniyavaasam".
