Panicks and winds of change

I've panicked several times during the process of making this album. The culprit? My PC. Mac users are saying I told you so. Okay Mac Buffs, you have a point. But you dont have the complete picture.

I think Apple makes excellent products now. No company has come up with a product that is as cool as the ipod. I have a Sansa. It has 4GB, has photo, video, radio and voice recorder apart from mp3 playing but cant hold a candle to the ipod nano for its usability. If nano had voice recording, I would have bought in a jiffy.

I've been a PC advocate for a very long time. Apple sucked for a long time until about 3 - 4 years back with highly priced systems and choice of software. If I had waited for Apple to get their act together, I'd be no where in music or media. PC has been instrumental in helping me find my tools. I have used all versions of Cakewalk including Sonar, Cool Edit Pro thru Audition, Cubase, Protools, SoundForge etc. And then there had been all these video editing programs like Adobe Premiere 5.5 thru the current, Vegas, windows crappy movie maker, Avid and the rest. If not for a PC, I would have never tried any of them. Well for argument sake, you can say that had I been on a Mac I'd just have gotten pro at FCP aka the Final Cut Pro. However, I'd never have known. I still havent worked on a Mac to know the difference. And if not for all the cracked programs I had tried, I'd have never learned the awesome Adobe After Effects.

Like I said, I have panicked several times when my app just would stall or refuse to load up the work that I spent months on. Through some divine intervention everything has played well so far but when you panic, it takes an inch of your life from you.

Where does that put me? Well.. for a PC advocate, Yesterday, I went to the apple online store to check the desktop prices. He he he.. The winds have changed. Prices are not so bad. Apple gets it at last.

I'm driving to LA again tomorrow to meet Sudesh Balan. to work on the music video. Some time next week, I'll post some info about this amazing dude. I'll have to split the blog into two or three parts to do any justice to him. Posting during the weekend could be a bit erratic but I'll try not to disappoint you. I know about 15 - 20 of you read this blog every day. 15 or 15000, I am an entertainer and it kills me to disappoint you.
