I was wrong to tell you in the blog 2 days ago that the ghazal song was my first recording. These happened long time ago so my memory is kind of hazy here.
The first one happened about 6 months before that. It was recorded with the same mic but a cheap soundblaster card. I had cheap PC speakers as well.
My introduction to audio editing was through a program called Cool Edit Pro. (It eventually became Adobe Audition). A friend of mine from work Mr Dave Doyle started me on this. He actually played a big role in getting me going with Music software. He was my boss as well. Cool Edit Pro was a neat program. Excellent for easy mixing and stuff. Even now, to do quick edits and stuff, I find myself turning to this program.
Here is the song.
Ramya sang it in one stretch. There were no track or beats to keep the rhythm or shruthi. Its evident in the song by the lack of any rhythm element. Just a tambourine. I literally struggled to add music to it. The background is all from the Korg Triton keyboard.
